Bacon Wrapped Smokies

Talk about a simple ingredients List...

You cut the bacon into thirds.  Go ahead and put the other 2 thirds back in the refridg while you roll the first third.  It is easier to roll with cold bacon.

They are rolling up pretty nicely here.

And I have about a half of a large ziploc's worth...

Sprinkle the brown sugar over the top and bake away.

Meat heaven on a toothpick...

I noticed that they have different varietes of the little smokies these days.  I chickened out and got the all beef ones, but they had some interesting ones with chicken etc.

Recipe was pulled from allrecpies.com quite a while back but had never went for it.
Have a great day and play well~

Bacon Wrapped Smokies

Ingredients
1 pound sliced bacon, cut into thirds
1 (14 ounce) package beef cocktail wieners
3/4 cup brown sugar, or to taste

Directions

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).

Refrigerate 2/3 of the bacon until needed. It is easier to wrap the wieners with cold bacon. Wrap each cocktail wiener with a piece of bacon and secure with a toothpick. Place on a large baking sheet. Sprinkle brown sugar generously over all.
Bake for 40 minutes in the preheated oven, until the sugar is bubbly. To serve, place the wieners in a slow cooker and keep on the low setting.
