I've been putting this blog together in my head for about a month, and now that I have it all set up, it is time get rolling. I think I will start of with an exerpt from the introduction in "Power Foods;" which i have only read the first few pages of, and can't wait to dive into the recipes.
The foods we eat have an enormous impact on our health, our well-being, and even our mood. In that sense, food has incredible power: the power to increase and sustain energy; the power to heal.
But health food has gotten a bad rap. People tend to think of it as bland and boring. A lot of people don't realize that Delicous and Nutritous can actually go together, and that healthy eating doesn't have to be challenging. Simply centering your diet around seasonal prduce, lean proteins, and whole grains will boost your vitality, change your body, and improve your well-being. Healthy eating should become less about rules and restrictions and more about learning to approach cooking in a new way, so that you feel nourished and recharged. (Power Foods, 150 delicious recipes with the 38 healthiest ingredients from the editors of whole living magazine, foreword by Martha Stewart)
Well those weren't my words but they strike me as very profound. I have really come to love eating healthy and can't wait to share tips and tricks with you.
Remember, if You Eat Well, You will Feel Well, and You will Play Well ~
